About IFYP
The International Federation of Yoga Professionals (IFYP) is an emerging global organization committed to standardizing yoga education, certification, and professional practices.
IFYP connects yoga trainers, wellness experts, institutions, and practitioners under one platform to promote authentic yoga practices and global recognition.
We aim to bridge traditional knowledge with modern professional standards.
IFYP has brought hundreds of Yoga Professionals from across the country, who were scattered over several groups, under one umbrella. This has united likeminded Yoga Teachers and Professionals to work on a common platform to achieve their goals. Today, IFYP have registered members from across the length and breadth of India and abroad. Branches are operating from 20 major States in India and overseas branches include Argentina and Kenya. More than 60 WhatsApp groups have been created / managed at National and State Levels with more than 7000 Yoga Teachers and Professionals as members.
Our Objectives
To inspire excellence in yoga teaching and practice by:
- Promote and propagate Yoga at grassroots level, nationally and globally.
- Offer training and guidance to Yoga aspirants and professionals.
- Encourage standardization in Yoga by supporting Voluntary Yoga Certification.
- Unite Yoga teachers under one forum to work towards a common noble cause.
- Extend support to NGOs, voluntary bodies, and institutions interested in Yoga.
- Organize workshops, seminars, public events, and research to raise awareness.
- Collaborate with government bodies like Ministry of Ayush and ICCR.
- Drive clinical research and evidence-based Yoga practices.
Our Achievements
To inspire excellence in yoga teaching and practice by:
- Supported the placement of members as Cultural Ambassadors abroad via ICCR.
- Organized 3 national and 1 international seminar with top institutions like AIIMS.
- Led major campaigns like the Yoga Awareness Mission across Rajasthan (70,000+ students impacted).
- Celebrated International Yoga Day with nationwide participation.
- Hosted Surya Namaskar drives, including 108-count events in Gujarat and Indore.
- Active participation in Yoga Fests, Arogya Melas, and collaborations with Patanjali, MDNIY, and others.
Our Future Plans
IFYP are in the process of developing ‘Wellness Centres’ across India through the affiliated members in order to offer a holistic approach to health related matters especially in rural India. In addition to promoting health through Yoga, this program would create job opportunities for Yoga teachers and Professionals and encourage them to take up Yoga as a profession.
